NECESIDADES HUMANAS Y POLÍTICA SOCIAL

La política social ha encontrado nuevos referentes dentro de la globalización, en la cual juega un papel central el esquema de necesidades humanas. El objetivo del artículo es analizar la complejidad de los enfoques de necesidades humanas básicas, su relación con los grupos privados globalizados y la determinación de la política social global. El método utilizado es cualitativo, con aproximación deductiva, empleando fuentes secundarias de información y la técnica del análisis documental. Las conclusiones señalan: a) reducción de las necesidades humanas a criterios materiales o cuantificables en desconocimiento de aspectos cualitativos o sociopolíticos; b) tendencia hacia esquemas de protección social en la política global social, cuyo centro sigue siendo atacar necesidades humanas mínimas; c) poca efectividad de estas políticas para reducir sus propios parámetros.
