Precarious Citizenship: Towards a conceptual definition for the characterization of contemporary migratory processes

CIUDADANÍA PRECARIA: HACIA UNA DEFINICIÓN CONCEPTUAL PARA LA CARACTERIZACIÓN DE LOS PROCESOS MIGRATORIOS CONTEMPORÁNEOS

The objective of this work is to propose a conceptual definition of the category “precarious citizenship” that allows to contribute to the systematic knowledge of the modalities of incorporation/exclusion of migrant citizens in the contemporary context. From the description of the nominative nature of this definition, the article proposes the construction of an operational criterion of conceptualization of “migrant citizenship” based on the distinction between its normative, political and interactive dimensions.
