The objective of this work has been the study of the opportunities and challenges of cloud computing, as well as aspects such as its name and background. The advantages of cloud computing are notable both for private companies, public and research organizations and for users in general, this is thanks to its speed, flexibility, availability, etc. The associated advantages are economic, technological, environmental and social. Of all the advantages, the most notable for users are cost savings and the ease of increasing available resources.
