We offer a set of general recommendations addressed to Engineering and Applied Sciences students with the purpose of improving their preparation while managing the challenge of communicating science to their peers, general public and the decision makers. In this article we mention suggestions on the typical preparation of a manuscript, recommendations on the best practices for writing scientific articles and links to web resources.
