This paper aims to present the significant knowledge embedded in the Andean Chakana, emphasizing that it is contained within the object itself. Through a detailed study of the object, certain elements have been identified that reveal the advanced understanding of those who conceived these concepts. The Chakana—its purpose and its message—remains an enigma that invites interpretations in many directions. This work limits itself to a brief explanation of its cultural meaning, followed by an analysis of its characteristics. It will be directly explained how a value of the number pi is present in its design and how the construction of the Chakana allows for the derivation of ratios that determine the calculation of a circle's circumference or area. Without a doubt, this study has shown how the peoples of the Andes understood their environment and expressed their knowledge in concrete forms that speak for themselves and deserve further investigation.
