Author Guidelines
The Journal "Revista Ingeniería, Matemáticas y Ciencias de la Información" is a scientific and technological publication of the Faculty of Engineering and Basic Sciences in conjunction with the Research Center of the Republican University Corporation, which aims to publish advances and research results in mathematics, information science and engineering.
The Web contents of the Magazine are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution license. This license allows others to redistribute, remix, adjust, and build upon your work, including for commercial purposes, as long as you take credit for the original creation.
The publication is open to permanently receive documents that are submitted for publication.
1. For their reception, evaluation and publication, the articles comply with a pre-selection process based on two criteria: the first attends to the type of article according to the Colciencias categories); the second, verifies compliance with the formal requirements. If the article does not correspond to any of the categories established by the journal or does not meet the formal submission requirements, it will be returned to its author, who may resubmit it to the editor when the requirements are met. meet the following criteria according to the scientific requirements according to the Colciencias classification (Colciencias, 2012):
- Article of scientific and technological research. "Written report that accounts for the original results of an investigation and that must comply with formal requirements established within a discipline and a scientific and technological community, formalities that are reflected in the generally accepted practices for the publication of documents in journals that They might come to accept it."
- Reflection article. Document that presents the results of completed research from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.
- Review article. Document resulting from a finished investigation where the results of published or unpublished research on a field of science or technology are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to account for the advances and development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least fifty references.
2. Articles written in Spanish and English are accepted. Articles that have been published or are in the process of being published in another journal are not accepted. Every author must accompany his proposal with a certificate that the text presented is his authorship and unpublished, guaranteeing that it has not been proposed in any other publication.
3. Articles must have bibliographic support. The bibliographical references must be made in the citation and presentation style according to the IEEE standards.
4. On the first page, the corresponding reference should be made at the bottom of the page about the author and his academic and research qualities. Also indicate the research project from which the article comes and the institution to which it corresponds.
5. Maximum extension of 20 pages, presentation in Word, in IEEE format. The journal may publish articles that meet the requirements of form and content and that have been favorably evaluated by an external referee or academic peer, likewise the Journal uses the external review system (Double-Blind Peer Review) anonymously through the method "double blind".
